Aims / Mission Statement

Our community work is about inspiring people. We use music, stories, and technology as a way to encourage participants to express themselves. We encourage hope and positivity about the future. And we use technology to get people engaged in the arts, from music theatre, opera to visual arts and dance.

It is important to us that our work reaches under-represented communities, and we are particularly interested in reaching LGBTQIA+ people, people from low-socioeconomic households, and people from rural areas.

Double Life Project

A workshop/video project for LGBTQIA+ young people in Lancashire to allow them to express themselves about their relationship with the internet through dance and devising.

Why? – We wanted to show how positive the internet could be in 'finding your community', and focused this in rural areas as being LGBTQIA+ in these areas where support isn't as good as in big cities.

I am so glad that LGBT youth are finally getting heard.

Sleep Now

A song and music video inspired by the story of Chuck the Trucker, which was commissioned by Minerva Arts and Spare Parts Festival under the project title 'Sing a Story for Sandbach'.

We developed the song, created the learning resources and instructions for submission, worked with our partners on recruitment, and worked with local amateur soloists who featured in the video through 1-to-1 remote consultations.
